Legal Question in Family Law in New York

my son passed away 4 years ago his girlfriend now has a new boyfriend and he wants to adopt hayden and change his name our family does not want this to happen how can we stop it ?

You can try and stop this but you can also file a petition for grandparent visitation in the family court. This may be more beneficial to you.
