Legal Question in Family Law in New York

My son's girlfriend was living in my home until a week ago took both of my son's kids and said noone from his family will ever see the kids again I am filling out petition papers for me (visitation) and my son (Paternity for 1 kids) and visitation/custody for the other one as only 1 child has him down as the father....she has also threated that she is leaving state with the kids and I/we fear she will not come back what do we do to prevent this from happening???

Your son should file for custody/visitation. In the petition, he should request notification before she moves out of state. He should file these papers as soon as possible. Apparently, time is of the essence.

If you son cannot afford an attorney, there are attorneys who are available on a pro bono or low cost basis in Buffalo.
