Legal Question in Family Law in New York

subpoenas

I received a subpoena from my sister in law. It is for court on tuesday. My brother says that it was not served corre4ctly to me and he is now trying to serve me wiht one. this has to do with a child visitation case. I would really appreciate if someone calls me back. this is a touchy situatio0n and I need advice from and expert.
