Legal Question in Family Law in New York

Supprting a child under 21 years.

I have asked him to leave my house. At 19 years old he is not enrolled in school or working thus not contributing to the household. Am I responsible for him financially anymore?

Re: Supprting a child under 21 years.

Is your child ill, incapacitated, has a mental or physical defect which renders him unable to produce?

If no, then I do not believe that any court or public opinion will state that you are obligated to care for him after the age of eighteen.
