Visitation rights of abusive parent
Can the custodial parent have the visitation rights of the non-custodial parent taken away? If the non-custodial parent has a history of violence, failure to pay child support and is mentally unstable?

Courts do not like taking visitation rights away, but will do it under limited and extreme circumstances. Whether your situation qualifies as such a circumstance is something about which you should consult a local family law attorney.

Most states do not take away a parent's visitation rights unless there are extreme circumstances. There is no way of knowing exactly what would happen in your case because there are several factors the court will consider to determine the "best interests of the child".
