Re: visits

"Reasonable" child visitation, would be the most frequent contact and visitation possible, that the child/ren and both parents agree to consistently adhere to, for a period of time.

Absent health, safety or transportation issues, "once a month" visitation, for the noncustodial parent (NCP), ordinarily, would not be considered by the Court, as "reasonable."

If the parties fail to agree on their own, the Court is likely to propose and Order that, the NCP will be entitled to weekly or biweekly overnight visitation; a holiday and vacation visitation and daily telephone contact times.

Re: visits

Reasonable visitation ("access") is typically alternate weekends, an evening during the week for a few hours and regular phone contact. Also, holidays will be split and/or alternated and summer vacations for 2-4 weeks. However, judges really encourage the parties to agree on more than this schedule, but if there is no such agreement then this is the typical scheduled ordered.
