Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York
Car Vandalism
My new car parked on the street in front of somebodys house was badly damaged by the landlord of that house. I called the police and reported all damages. What is my next steps to make this person pay for all damages to my car.

In NYC, sue in small claims court.In other areas, sue in District Court or Town/Village Court. There will be no insurance as this was an intentional act.
...Or...turn it over to your insurance carrier.
