Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

fiance not wanting to get married yet

If my mother purchased a bed for me and my fiance as an engagement present and my fiance doesn't want to get married yet, and I leave him....who has the legal right to the bed.....he says it is his and I say I take it with me since my mother paid for it....It was a 1500 dollar bed and I want it....he says I can have the frame and boxspring and he'll keep the mattress and I say I get the whole thing. Who is right?

You get the bed and he gets what his family gifted. You also get to tell him to grow up and get a life.
