Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

given incorrect information

My question is that my boyfriend just finished barber school and he believed that all his forms in order until he applied for his state licence. they informed that one of the instructors at the school he attended was not qualified to give the test which made it null and void. he now has to take it over but the problem is now he i losing money on a business he opened and the school is giving him the run around about retaking the test so that he can get his licence. they have told him that he will have to wait another 2 or more months until they have more people to take the test and meanwhile he just keeps losing more money and income. now they are telling him that he can travel over 3 hours to take the test with him paying his own expenses. they are not trying to compensate him in anyway what so ever and he just continues to lose income. does he have any grounds to go after the school legally.

Re: given incorrect information

There are contracts that need to be reviewed and there is a question as to what assurances he was given by the school but it appears he may have a claim and he should see a lawyer to determine if it is worth enough to bring a lawsuit over.
