Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Judgement

How do I pay a judgement from Kings County(Brooklyn) Court House (civil), if I have moved out of state? I need to know wher to send it and how to get receipt. Thank you.

Re: Judgement

Do not send it anywhere, until you have a release and a satisfaction of judgment. The satisfaction of judgment needs to be filed with the Kings County Court. You should contact the Plaintiff's Attorney who should provide you with both.

Re: Judgement

You should contact the attorney for the creditor. At the time of payment he should provide you with a general release and a judgment satisfaction which should also be filed with the court clerk.
