Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York
karate lessons
We signed my son up for karate lessons. They make you sign up for a certain # of lessons, like 250 lessons, that costs roughly $4000, all prepaid. My son does not want to continue karate. They refuse to refund the money. It is our understanding that in the state of NY they can not collect for lessons more than a month in advance. We just want our money back.

Your best bet may be to file a lawsuit. Consult an attorney for your options.
