Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

Multi Judge Panel Request

In making the choice of a “Trier-of-Facts” in a civil complaint for a lawsuit involving 32+ tort claims, 23+ “joined” defendants and hundreds of dollars in damages, could it be requested that instead of a 12 person Jury, or a lone Judge, that a multi-judge panel be used (e.g., a 3 Judge panel)?

Re: Multi Judge Panel Request

No.

In Florida either party can demand a jury of 6, not 12, people. If all agree, a single judge can be the trier of fact.
