Take Non-Profit run organization to Small Claims Court

I may need to go to small claims court to sue an organization that is funded by non-profit group(s). Do I use the organization name as the ''Name of Party being Sued''? Thank you.

The general rule is to sue everyone and let the court sort it out. But mere funding would not expose the parent organization to financial liability.

Sue the organization and all relevent individuals (like the president, board of directors, and department head).

Assuming the entity you are suing is seperate from its funding source, you should name the organization. A fairly easy way to check this (assuming the organization is here in NY) is to search the NY Department of State database for the organization.
