Retrving personal proporty from my sepratedwifes parents

aproximitly 2years ago i was forced into drug treament.

4 months after going into long term treament my home was sold. my family & seperated wife moved my presonal property aproximtley 70 to 80 % percent of my property was moved to seperatedwifes parents barn. they have denighed me my personal property. I have requested through my seperated on aproximitly 8 to 10 to no avail. the portion of the proporty im most concerned with is the tools that were left to by my father who has pasted away & the tools that I make a living with. is their anything i can do to recover my property? Thank you for your time in this matter

You have a good and valid lawsuit, and for more than the value of the tools. The basic lawsuit is one for "replevin," and you can get an order on very short notice for the sheriff to break open the barn and get your stuff. Your inlaws' conduct opens them up to punitive damages, which could result in their losing everything.

It is a comment on the legal question posed by the poster and should not be relied upon unless and until an attorney-client relationship is entered into. Doing so would require signing an engagement letter and depositing a retainer to secure payment of legal fees.
