Legal Question in Civil Litigation in New York

theres a woman at my husbands job causing major drama. it started when he didnt want to drive her to work anymore. she yelled at him he yelled back etc etc..she def has mental issues,she stalked someone before,and is currently trying to conjour up drama with there place of employment.not only w my husband,but with atleast 7 other people. claiming shes verbally abused,and fears for her life.we used to be aquaintances at one point,ive given her clothes sent her diner everynight,and she gave my daughter a few movies. now she sent my husband a text message calling him a theif and she wants her movies back. shes making up lies to the job calling my husband a drug dealer! so i called her to try and get this resolved.she was acting weird cryin g saying she wants HER movies and shes afraid of my husband,she feels sorry for me n my daughter cause my hubby abuses us(whiche he dont,hes the best dad n hubby ever) so anyways she called the cops. an officer called my house!!!!!said for us to stay away from her/now mind you everyone at work is writing reports on her to get her out.. managers boses everyone. she is out of control. what can i do legally?before she ruins my life and makes up lies. my husband is the sole provider and we dont need a sick person like her disturbing our lives. thank you sooo much,.

Your husband needs to handle it by filing a complaint with his employer. However, you shouldn't call her phone or otherwise contact her.

Your husband should keep in mind that if she continues to make false allegations about him being a drug dealer, he may have a claim against her for slander. However, he will need witnesses who are willing ot testify about her statements in court.
