Legal Question in Health Care Law in New York
medical records
I am changing doctors and am having a problem getting copies of my medical records from my previous doctor. her office is too busy to send it to me. Is there a law that can expedite this service. I cant make an appt with my new specialist until he reviews my records

HIPPA requires the records to be releasaed. It is some times easier to get the records if your new doctor requests themfrom your old doctor.
