Citizenship

Immigration does background check before approving ones green card and citizenship, is it the same check or citizenship is a higher security level? How can i check my file before applying for citizenship?

Can an attorney do that for me?

If you are concerned about the background check, you should definitely speak with an attorney before filing to renew your green card and/or filing for citizenship. An attorney will need to know your full immigration and criminal history in order to advise you of the risks involved with filing an application with USCIS. Similarly, an attorney may advise you to send your fingerprints to the FBI if you are unsure of your criminal history or how it could affect your immigration status.
