Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

Hello,

I am in Russia and I won a green card lottery. I cannot find a sponsor for me, but I am financially very sound and have enough funds to support myself. Can I do it? Or is it mandatory to have somebody else do it for me?

Thank you.

As long as you can prove that you will not become a "public charge", in other words that you have the necessary income or savings you don't need a financial sponsor. If you would like further help with your case, please feel free to call (866) 723 7610 x101 or email.

Because you are applying under the DV Lottery, you do not need to have a sponsor. This is not a mandatory requirement under your visa category. The embassy should be informed about your stable financial situation and the source of your income/assets.

I speak fluent Russian, and consult clients from Russia as well as from any other countries.
