Legal Question in Immigration Law in New York

I live in India and will come to usa on an h 1 visa but I want to bring my wife on an h 4 visa. What type of document will I need to give immigration to apply for h 4 visa. Hindu marriages in India are not registered. You don't get a certificate.

You can get a marriage certificate in the courthouse in India. Then, your wife applies for an H4 visa at the US consulate in India.
