Upgrading Military Discharge

I got a bad conduct discharge from the military in 1999. Need to know how can i upgrade and does it affect me from becoming a naturalize citizen

A bad discharge may be a factor used in review of your citizenship application and it all may center on the facts and circumstances of the discharge. There is an application process through a military board of review to correct a discharge if it is provable that there was a miscarriage of justice. It is best that you contact an attorney before proceeding because an application for citizenship will examine your entire background from the day you entered the U.S.
