You may register the vehicle under your name and name your friend as an additional insured under your vehicle. Protect yourself by naming your friend as an additional insured with all the pertinent information requested of you. Be truthful. You should be aware that if your friend is involved in an accident, his negligence is imputed to you as well as the owner of the vehicle, and you may face unlimited liability.
