Suing insurance company

My car was involved in a hit and run on 2/17.My vehicle was parked at the time.I am having a hard time dealing with the insurance company regarding the monetary amount to fix my vehicle.Can I sue for lost time?Also they want to use used parts on my vehicle.

If the car had used parts in it when it was hit, then (and only then) may the insurance company require the use of used parts.

If by "lost time" you mean the cost to rent a car while the car is undrivable or being worked on, the answer is that the insurance company should pay for the rental as part of your "loss of use."

Here's the reality: they're not going to fix your car or pay for you to fix it until a court forces them to do this. Get the lawsuit filed right away, as every day you wait is another day of being manhandled by an insurance company.
