Copyright Infringement Case

Once you file a copyright infringment case in Federal Court and it was dismissed, can you re-try the same case in a different state with additional or different defendants?

Re: Copyright Infringement Case

Whether you can re-file depends on how the case was dismissed and whether you could have joined those new defendants into the original case.

The different state aspect of your question will make zero difference; copyright is under exclusive federal jurisdiction.
