Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

Would it be illegal to sell burned cd's with music on them, though i state the music is not mine,i did not have anything to do with the music, but it is just to promote my dj'ing layout, and talent?

As a Franchise Attorney I can say this. If the music belongs to someone else, then you are infringing on their copyright by distributing or selling the cd's without their permission. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
