Re: License to sell copyright

You must determine who owns the copyright (or an exclusive license to the copyright, i.e. the exclusive licensee) and negotiate with that party.

Re: License to sell copyright

What kind of product do you want to sell? What distribution and marketing avenues do you have? Why do you want to do this? What can you do for Disney that it can't do already?

These and other questions will determine how much you have to pay to license these rights, what approach you should take, and whether you can license them at all. Feel free to post more info or contact me directly to get a more precise answer.

All that said, if you wanted to proceed the standard way is to contact Disney, tell them what you want to do, and make a deal with the owner of the character (most likely that's Disney - but Disney will tell you if it's some other entity). The kinds of deals are varied.
