Neighbor caused damage to garage and refuses to pay

My neighbor took it upon himself to come onto my property and cut my grass. My mower was in the process of being repaired and the grass was a little high. I didn't give my neighbor permission to come onto my property and I didn't give him permission to cut my grass. unfortunately, while cutting the grass he accidentally broke the trim at the two bottom front corners to the right of my garage door opening. The garage is about five months old and it was in excellent condition. When I told my neighbor about the damage he caused he became belligerent and refuses to pay. He admitted that he cut the grass, but he won't admit to causing the damage. I have pictures of the garage soon after it was built and again it was in excellent condition. What should I do?

Will/Did the damage cost you closer to $100 or $1000 to repair? If the former, fix your garage and drop the brewing quarrel with your neighbor (and then get over it, which might take a little longer). If the latter, contact me directly.
