There are two possible ways to proceed: 1) if you are technically able, you can develop the technology and then patent it. As it appears from your question that you are not experienced with patents, I would suggest you retain competent patent counsel (i.e. an attorney who is admitted to the patent bar). 2) If you possess just the idea but lack either the ability or desire to develop it, you may wish to enter into a business relationship with a party (person or legal entity) that has the wherewithall to do so. Note that if you proceed along the latter course, you will DEFINETLY require the guidance of an experienced corporate/business lawyer as partnerships, close corporations, etc. are tricky as to protecting the future rights of their member/owners.
