i have question about making SAUCE

i'm making Spicy Sauce, but in that Sauce using some branded name soy sauce in it,

do i need to contact that company before i use in my sauce?

As a Franchise Attorney I think the answer depends on how you list soy sauce in your ingredients. For example, if you just list "soy sauce," that's one thing. But if you list "Kikkoman soy sauce," then you definitely need permission from the brand owner. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
