Legal Question in Intellectual Property in New York

I am writing an article about Disney themed costumes. Am I allowed to show pictures of Disney characters as part of my post? I have affiliate links on the post and the picture would be for illustration purposes only to show which characters I am talking about.

Not without permission from Disney. Disney owns the characters, the costumes, the pictures of the characters and costumes, the names of the characters, etc., and Disney is extremely vigilant in protecting its intellectual property rights.
