Legal Question in International Law in New York

I was in India to get arrange marrige. I met a girl by newspapers ads. We become friends and I sent some money for her education. My family didn't like her after they met. I went to India, and refuse to marry her because of my family members. The girl and local police made a counterfit case on me. That I spent two night then refuse to marry also thread her to kill. Police arrest me and demant huge amount of money. On other hand girl want to marry me at any cost. She admit to polices too. Police and girl's family made complain that I rape her. Eventhought she complian that we spent two nights as a husband and wife. As a non-indian, I was not getting any help. I was in jail or 17 days and my relative have to spent alot of money just to billout. After that I am back to USA. I still have a lawyer who, keep asking money. I am worndering what should I do?
