I work as a jewelry designer for a company in new yorks 47th street. My designs are doing very well and now my company wants me to sign this agreement. It basically says I cant take any coworkers with me if i leave the company and cant do business with any of the retailers we are working with for at least 2 years after I leave the company. Is there anything I can do?

This is a standard clause in many employment contracts when trade secrets, designs and customer identity

are valuable asstes of the employer.

Its a point of negotiation. If they won't back down, don't lose the job over it. See what happens down the road.
