Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

discrimination

me and 4 of my coworkers work for a large coperation we each have more than ten years of tenure with good work history. we have recently gone thru a restructure in the department and they randomly selected people off the team for special projects the rest of us are aware that the decision was based off of favortism and not based on qualification do we have a discrimination case?

I apologize. I meant to say favoritism is not prohibited by the law.

favoritism is not protected by the law, but ther are numerous other things that are, to long to list here.
