Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

employment in NY

My job suspended me for one week and have not scheduled me to work since then. They won't tell me why or if I have a job but it's been a month, is that legal?

As a general matter, if you are an at will employee they can fire you without cause or reason. But these cases are very fact specific and generalizations as indicated above are not always accurate assessments. If you have an employment contract that gives you rights.
