Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Employment at Will

I live in NY, an employment at will State. I was required to sign an employment agreement for a term of one year, and if neither party provided notice (30 days) prior to the termination of the agreement it would be considered ''renewed for successive one year periods'' . The agreement also contained an arbitration clause and a sections specifically stating the agreement could be terminated for any legal reason whatsoever, or for no reason at all.

My question is, is this agreement considered a contract despite having at-will language?

Re: Employment at Will

Yes, and it is different from an at will contract because it includes an Arbitration clause. If you would like to discuss it with me further, you can contact me by following the links below.
