Monitoring Employee Efficiency

Can employer force employee to use computerize system that monitors the

employee efficiency? For example: Help Desk technician have to enter all Help

Desk calls into a database which ultimately can cause the Help Desk person

loose his job for not been efficient enough?

Unless you are in a union, or have an employment contract that covers this specific aspect of employer-employee relations, the employer can set the parameters of the equipment and software the employee uses to do his work for the employer.
