Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I was terminated 8/13 I walked off the job on 7/30 I had seen my DR. on 7/27 he documented that I was suffering from severe anxiety and panic disorder attacks. I was admitted to hospital on 7/31 for the same disorder, I was on 24 hour suicide watch. My DR. suggested I transfer to a psychiatric facility. I asked to be released so I could go back to work. Upon returning I was suspended depending investigation. 2 days later I was call into work and terminated. I have as do my prior employer all the DR. notes, letters and Hospital documentation. I know cannot afford the medication prescribed for my disorder as I do not have insurance, I've been actively looking for a new job but I'd still have to wait 3 months. What are my options
