Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

If I only worked at a place for 4 days and resigned due to health problems, is there any way to go back and file a claim against my prior employer of 12 years for Unemployment as they could no longer hold my job and that was the reason I tried to return to a new employer in the first place?

An unemployment claim is not filed "against" an employer. It is filed with the New York State Department of Labor, which makes a determination as to your eligibility for unemployment benefits. If you were employed at any time during the preceding twelve months, you should file a claim and see if you are eligible.

Good luck!
