Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

Can a UNION sign off your civil rights. With out an orginazed vote. As pertaining to drug testing, and acahol on non working hours. like getting a DWI on your time / then you can be removed from your job. I would like to know if anything can be done if your UNION President can do this behind our backs. thanks!!!!

Plenty can be done. What is your local union's mechanism in its constitution and bylaws for complaining about a brother unionist? If none, what is your International Union's constitution and bylaws provisions? Almost all AFL-CIO unions have one.

Also you may organize to vote out the Union within a period close to the end of the contract with your employer.

I need more information to be more specific.
