Legal Question in Employment Law in New York

I have been working for 8 years at the place, this is the 3rd time I have been discriminate against for similar reason, I have brought it up to management and I have been ignore, the person of authority is white and the other employee is Asian, my job have been threaten on several occasion, I don�t think the union is doing enough and this time my job is on the line, I want to start a discrimination suit and also have management investigate regarding their action, and a I also want to have the option to sue the union if they don�t act properly in my favor since that�s what I was promise for paying dues. What are the steps I can take to file a suit against a federal agency, any lawyers which deal with such cases I would like to set an appointment for consultation?

Unions do not normally handle discrimination matters and its within their discretion to advocate any claims of discrimination on behalf of members. Here are some suggested steps that may preserve your rights:

(1) document your complaint (write to management by mail, internal mail, e-mail etc. etc.)

(2) If you are a federal employee you must file a claim with an EEO counselor within 45 days of the last alleged act of discrimination; and

(3) Make an appointment with an employment law attorney and pay his/her consultation fee if any. Don't be penny wise and pound foolish. See an expert ASAP.
