Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Ex-spouse won''t leave marital residence

I was just granted my divorce. In my divorce papers, I requested as relief - that my ex-husband give up possession of the marital residence (we live in an apartment). Now that everything is final, it appears that he is not trying to leave the premises. Since he is not on the original lease, do I need to take him to landlord and tenant court? What do I have to do to ensure that he leaves the premises?

If your husband vacating is part of order from court...you could go back to same court for enforcement or contempt.
