I am the guaranteer for my daughter's 1/2 of her lease obligation; her ex-boyfriend's father is responsible for the other 1/2. They are breaking up with 9 months of the lease left, is there any chance of me settling for the remainder without retaining a lawyer. The lease states that I gave up my right to a trial by jury when I signed. I've heard of mitigating loses, but would that be an option here? Thanks!
You may always contact the other side and attempt to work out a deal.
