Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

Heater

I live in a whole house. I have a carbon manoxide detector in my house. it went off because the heater was broken. My landlord was told she had to fix it. she told me that she was going to fix it and that i 3 days to move out of the house.

My question is can she do that. can she throw me out of the house and tell me i have three days to be gone.

I have to heat or water.

Re: Heater

If you have Carbon Monoxide leakeage in the house, why would you want to be there? It could be deadly, you can apply the relocation costs to a credit for rent.

Should you like to discuss this or any other legal matter, you can e-mail me for more information about low cost face-to-face, on-line, or a telephone consultation with a lawyer in our office.
