Re: lead poisoning

Lead poisoning is very serious in a 2 year old. It can lead to retardation and developmental delay. Your local children's hospital has specialists in this type of diagnosis and treatment. Obviously, as long as the child is not exposed to lead, the amount of lead in the system goes down, and hopefully disappears. But the lasting brain effects can be severe.

As the child develops, the child can be tested for retardation and developmental delays. A neuropsychologist can correlate the two.

If there is permanent defects as listed above, you have a lawsuit against the landlord/owner of the building.

A lawsuit can be commenced for negligence to hold the landlord/owner accountable. Keep the resuts of the lead testing available for future use.
