letter

what type of form do I need for my brother so sign saying he will vacate my 96 yr old mothers house on a certain date. If I dont get him to sign something, he will never leave, and she wants him out. He lives rent free, a freeloader.

Re: letter

He is what is known as a licensee. He entered with your Mother's permission and now she is terminating that license (permission).

She needs to give him a 10 day notice of termination. The Notice says that she is terminating his license to remain at (address)in 10 days and if he does not leave on the 10th day, she will go to court to have him evicted. She signs it.

You can him sign it if you want but not necessary. After 10 days she needs to follow through with having him evicted (get an attorney).
