Legal Question in Landlord & Tenant Law in New York

i have a question regarding illegal conversions. if a tenant illegally rents out rooms in the apartment, what legal action do i have to remedy this situation? the violation fines are per day and will be the responsibility of the landlord however the eviction process takes several months.

You have no choice but to evict the tenant. This means service of notice, service of the Notice of Petition and Petition, Judgment of Possession, Warrant of Eviction, and finally, the Sheriff or Marshal. There are no shortcuts.
