Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in New York

knee surgery

i had knee surgery done, post op i was suppose to have the hemovac in place to drain excess fluid and blood, upon transfering from o.r. to pacu, the hemovac came out. this led me to return to surgery 10 days later to to re-open the wound, drain the excess fluid accumulation, and 4 more days in the hospital for ivbx. Doctor blamed the exxcess fluid accumulation and bleeding from the wound on coumadin. i got a copy of the orders for the hospital's stay, which show no orders of coumadin. also my h/h dropped from admission to discharge became anemic, and i was never told. do i have a case for malpractice?
