What are the steps to filing a malpractice suit?

Depends on whether this was a New York City Health & Hospitals hospital or one privately operated. The former requires a notice of claim, within 90 days of the incident, followed by the start of a lawsuit within a year and ninety days of the incident. The latter no notice of claim and a statute of limitations of two and a half years. Best, M. E. Zuller
