Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

I was assaulted at a bar, knocked out, and broke my jaw. Sucker punched from a guy behind me. I was working there but off the clock and under the table. My boss never game me a w2 form. The bar has little security and is known for fights. I pressed charges against the guy who assaulted me and he's going to be arrested. He has little money to pay for my hospital bills and pain and suffering. Do I have a case against the bar?

You can still try to pursue a worker's compensation claim. Check with an experienced attorney in your area. If aren't covered by worker's comp., you can pursue a claim against the company. Again, an experienced worker's comp. attorney will be able to discuss your rights in a low cost or free consultation.
