Legal Question in Personal Injury in New York

Computer damage

I was in a public space designated for computer use. My computer was plugged into outlets designated for computer use. There was between 12''-18'' of space between me and the outlet and a woman walked in that space, despite the various designated areas for foot traffic, snagged my cord and dropped my computer. Because neither of us took pictures, nor were there any witnesses, we cannot prove the distance between me and the wall. Do I have a sufficient enough case to sue for damages in small claims court? Damages incurred will be approx $325.

Re: Computer damage

If there were alternate areas for foot traffic, and the area she walked was not an area designed for foot traffic, then, yes, you can prevail on a claim, if the judge believes your version of events.
