Leaving the scene of an accident is a crime in NY though it is rarely enforced. If you happened to get the license plate number or other identifying information of the vehicle then pass it along to law enforcement. If you were injured as a result of this accident you are not without options either. You may still be able to put in an Uninsured Motorist claim for your injuries and/or medical treatment, if any. A property damage claim will depend on whether you have collision coverage. For a completely free consultation to discuss your options, please call 347-702-4133 or email me at [email protected].
